Résumé

The Drug Enforcement Branch of the RCMP has evaluated the use of several instruments capable of detecting particulate drug resides. Starting with their attendance at a symposium in the USA in the fall of 1995 and subsequent onsite visits to the DEA and FBI facilities, they hosted an in-house demonstration, in April of 1996. Three Canadian companies were in attendance with instrument demonstrations from two. A high degree of success was achieved in locating concealed drugs as well as identifying and quantitating them.
