Résumé
This report is an attempt to shed some light on a number of related questions, in particular the following three main ones: What is the nature and extent of the involvement of terrorist groups in other forms of crime, including transnational crime? What is the extent of the participation of criminal organizations in terrorist activities? What evidence is there of any cooperation between criminal organizations and terrorist groups at either the national or international levels? The report is divided into three main parts, each one dealing with one of the above questions, and is concluded by some comments on the implications of these issues for law enforcement and criminal justice systems of the world and on the role of international cooperation in that respect.
