Résumé
In this report, I make 34 recommendations, 28
addressed at the Ontario Provincial Police, focused on effecting a fundamental
cultural shift towards eliminating stigma associated with operational stress injuries
and member suicide, and improving education, training, supports and services for
officers, retirees, and their families.
I have made six broad recommendations to the Ministry,
encouraging it to exercise its authority to undertake research and establish
standards to guide police services in implementing education, training, supports
and services to protect those who serve.
