Résumé
"In September 2014, the Fraser Institute published a study by Livio Di Matteo, a Professor of Economics at Lakehead University, entitled Police and Crime Rates in Canada: A Comparison of Resources and Outcomes. The study develops a model that is used to assess the "efficiency" of 82 police services in Canada. This assessment model concludes with lists of the 10 "most efficient" and the ten "least efficient" police services based on the data and analytical criteria selected in the model. This critical assessment focuses on the integrity of the model and the degree to which the model provides insight into the funding and staffing of Canadian police services, and those involved in police governance, management, and policy development."--Introduction.
