Résumé
A documentary concerning the little-known story of Ukrainian immigrants who, described by the Canadian government as "enemy aliens" at the outbreak of World War 1, found themselves subject to discriminatory and repressive measures for the next six years. Archival footage, vintage photographs, the compelling testimony of survivors, and commentary by prominent historians such as Desmond Morton and Donald Avery, combine to weave a moving story of a nearly forgotten episode of Canadian history.
