Summary
The compendium illustrates in very concrete ways how strategies and practices have been put into place by cities and countries around the world, as well as some of the outcomes achieved. These short accounts of what has been put in place by national, sub-regional, and local governments, and by communities and civil society organizations, are designed to encourage and inspire governments and communities elsewhere. The compendium also provides examples of technical assistance and exchange of expertise which have helped to build the capacity of countries or cities in developing crime prevention.
