Summary
"The G20 Summit was an event unprecedented in Toronto in terms of the size and scope of its security demands and policing requirements. It was also the first time that many TPS officers had experienced widespread criminality and mass public disorder. The TPS recognizes and appreciates that as a world class city Toronto will continue to host large-scale, international events. This report focuses on key issues that arose during the planning, operational, and postevent phases of the Summit. The identified findings will enable the TPS to benefit from the experiences of the G20 Summit and provide recommendations for improved performance in future operations."--Foreword.
