Annual National Roundtable on Disaster Risk Reduction
The Annual National Roundtable facilitates coordination and implementation of Canada's Platform activities, and serves as a multi-stakeholder forum for discussing national DRR issues and information sharing. Participation is open to any interested parties, departments, organizations or individuals concerned with reducing the risks posed by disasters, including members of the private sector, all levels of government, non-governmental organizations, students and the general public. Since the Platform's inception, nine Roundtables have been held in locations across Canada:
- 2010 - First Annual Roundtable - Fredericton, New Brunswick
- 2011 - Second Annual Roundtable - Ottawa, Ontario
- 2012 - Third Annual Roundtable - Vancouver, British Columbia
- 2013 - Fourth Annual Roundtable - Regina, Saskatchewan
- 2014 - Fifth Annual Roundtable - Toronto, Ontario
- 2015 - Sixth Annual Roundtable - Calgary, Alberta
- 2016 - Seventh Annual Roundtable - Montréal, Québec
