| Purpose : |
This project will focus on the interrelated risk factors of drug addiction and poor academic performance, by supporting addicts to quit their addiction and return-to-school. This two-year project will pilot a combined drug treatment and academic support model for youth who receive expended suspensions and/or expulsions and who have been identified as addicts. Youth will be referred to this project from the Halton school boards, as well as Halton-area private schools and the Halton Children's Aid Society.
