Purpose : |
The aim of this project is to organize, structure and support the mobilization and participation of various partners in the implementation of this new centre of expertise in Montreal. The current experts, whom some communities are privileged to have, must be assembled and made the most of in order to develop and share expertise among all of the communities, which owe it to themselves to assist the young victims.
First there will be a gathering of experts from the province, who are involved in various intervention and research areas such as: police services, youth centres, Crown attorney's offices, hospital services and universities. The partnership will take the form of participation in various bodies to be implemented by the project proponent. The project proponent will endeavour to mobilize all partners by completing a communication plan, by coordinating professional activities and by developing memorandums of understanding between the partners so that they can contribute in their own way to the activities of the centre of expertise.
The bodies to be created are:
" Table of partners (formed by managers)
" Client services programming committee (formed by social workers and clinical counsellors)
" Cross-sectoral levelling activities committee (formed by social workers and managers)
" Research committee (formed by researchers and community representatives)
In its action, training and research the cross-sectoral partnership is not very well known, not yet very seasoned and very little evaluated. A specific component dealing with the evaluation of the partnership within the project's framework is therefore planned. Among other questions, the project's evaluation will endeavour to describe each partner's participation in the centre's management process and in the dispensing of services. The evaluation will also aim to describe the partnership's effects on the organization of each partner's services and on the clientele.
