This project will attempt to increase community safety in an area experiencing a high-degree of neighbourhood crime. It aims to achieve this by increasing the resiliency of youth at-risk of crime and victimization, as well as increasing public awareness and community mobilization around crime and victimization issues. This goal will be accomplished through the development of an arts-based training program that will focus on increasing the resiliency of youth at-risk of criminality, and the launching of an annual arts-festival for North Etobicoke that is specifically focused on crime prevention. |
