| Purpose : |
The project will start by creating local crime prevention committees in each of the target communities, as well as training a regional monitoring committee that will include local representatives, representatives of the administrative council of ARPN, of the Centre d'Aide aux Victimes d'Actes Criminels (CAVAC) and of the Mamit Innuat. The various prevention committees will develop action plans to fight crime based on their communities' respective needs and to update and confirm crime statistics through forums with the community and the various local and regional workers. The monitoring committee will supervise the establishment and implementation of these action plans (which constitutes phase 2 of the project). |
