| Purpose : |
The Youth Intervention and Diversion Outreach (YIDO) project will address risk and protective factors in order to prevent and reduce offending among high-risk Inuit children and youth in the remote northern community of Pangnirtung. The target population includes approximately 310 Inuit children and youth between the ages of 9 to 23, who are at-risk or involved in activities such as substance abuse, violence, vandalism and theft, and are having difficulties at school. |
