Résumé
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Board is in deplorable shape. Instead of
holding out support for victims of violent crime, the Criminal Injuries
Compensation Board often greets them with bureaucratic indifference and
suspicion. Instead of giving steadfast and urgent assistance, it trades in
technicality and embraces delay. As a result, instead of providing relief, the
Criminal Injuries Compensation Board too often adds insult to injury.
