Résumé
The paper reports on the National Debate Advisory Group's debate across policing on the fundamental questions of how policing should be organized and resourced in the future. The Group consulted the public through polling and focus groups, and then organized two national events to debate ideas and options. These were attended by representatives of nearly 30 forces, staff associations and unions, criminal justice partners and other partner organizations, the private sector and national and local government representatives. The ideas brought forward at that event in March 2015 were then shaped by over 70 of those participants into the options set out in this discussion paper.
