Ottawa, Ontario, November 15, 2013 – The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, today recognized the joint international police operation between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and United Kingdom's National Crime Agency, following the arrest of two Canadians allegedly involved in trafficking large amounts of cocaine via Canada to the UK.

“Our government commends the outstanding work of the RCMP, and international partners, whose collaboration and cooperation led to these arrests.

We will continue to work with domestic and international law enforcement agencies to address the global drug problem. We are committed to ensuring our communities are safe places to live, raise families, and do business.”
