- In accordance with Standing Order 106(4), four members of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security asked for a meeting to discuss their request that SECU undertake a study on Systemic Racism in Policing in Canada. This discussion will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 23, 2020, in Room 415, West Block.
- The Committee will then reconvene at 5:00 p.m. that same day in the same location to hear from you and Brenda Lucki, Commissioner of the RCMP, as well as Associate DM Monik Beauregard, Commissioner Anne Kelly and Julie Thompson, DG Corrections and Criminal Justice Directorate, CSCCB.
- You will be given 10 minutes for your opening statement and, together with Commissioner Lucki and officials, will answer questions from committee members.
- Your appearance will last for one hour, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Commissioner Lucki and officials will remain for the second hour (6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) to continue answering questions from the committee.
