Erroneous Quarantine Orders
SYNOPSIS
The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) were made aware that quarantine orders were being issued to residents of Northwest Angle #33 and Windigo Island in the First Nation of Animakee Wa Zhing #37, who were deemed exempt from the Mandatory Quarantine Order, under section 6(n).

- The Government of Canada is aware that some individuals, who are exempt from the Mandatory Quarantine Order, have unfortunately been called in error regarding their need to quarantine for 14 days.
- The Canada Border Services Agency, in collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada, is reviewing the situation and will continue to support process improvements for the implementation of the Emergency Orders under the Quarantine Act in order to protect the health and safety of Canadians.
