Proposed Response:
- On a Portfolio-wide basis, total expenditures related to the COVID-19 Response from March 31st, 2020 to March 31st 2021 are $443.0M.
- This amount includes $100.6M in Contribution payments from PS for COVID-response – including payments to the Canadian Red Cross in support of long-term health care centers in Ontario and Québec.
- Expenditures also include $106.7M in salary and $35.6M in overtime. In addition, there was $166.5M in operations which includes expenses such as the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment and contracts for enhanced cleaning and sterilization.

- $100.6M in Grants and Contributions expenditures related to the COVID-19 response;
- $13.7M in total Expenditures for Salary; and

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)
CBSA reported COVID-19 expenditures of $108.1M on items and activities including:
- $51.0M in Salary Expenditures; and
- $33.8M in total Expenditures for Operations.
Correctional Service Canada (CSC)
CSC reported COVID-19 expenditures of $167.3M on items and activities including:
- $106.4M in total Expenditures for Operations; and

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
The RCMP reported COVID-19 expenditures of $46.6M on items and activities including:
- $25.1M in Total Expenditures for Operations; and
- $12.7M in Total Expenditures for Salary costs.
- Per Order-in-Council effective January 7, 2021, the RCMP is also tracking the surge in operations at points of entry for the screening of inbound travellers, and any assistance to the vaccination rollout initiatives.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police External Review Committee (ERC)

- The ERC’s 2020-21 Expenditures by Type will be adjusted as the year-end adjustments exercise takes place to reflect revised Salary and EBP estimates. Originally no salary estimates were provided as they were deemed immaterial, however after further considerations it was decided to include time spent on COVID-19 planning and daily response. The year-end adjustments will reflect $63,609 in Non-Incremental Expenditures (salary).
