Please note that an organization's project site does not have to have been directly victimized by a hate-motivated incident/crime to be considered eligible for program funding under an annual Call for Application. However, it is required to participate in the prioritized process under the SHMIS stream.

Section 5 of 7: Financials

Please provide an estimate on the amount of federal funding which will be requested by your organization for the realization of your SIP project in this section. You may also provide a brief description of your project if you have one.

A detailed outline of project activities, your work plan and your completed budget for the project will be requested at a later time should your application be successful. Your organization will also be required to seek out estimates and select the vendors who will be realizing the project. Please refer to the SIP Application Guide for additional guidance.

The Department will require all recipients of contributions to disclose all sources of funding for a proposed project before the start and at the end of a project. Funding cannot be used in combination with any other federal/provincial/territorial/regional/municipal government assistance for the same purpose and eligible expenses.
